Revelation chapter 13

1.And [the dragon] stood on the sand of the sea, and I saw that demon* rising

out of the sea, that has ten horns and seven heads, and on its heads the names of

blasphemies.

2. And the demon that I saw resembled a tiger and his feet were like those of a

bear and his mouth was like the mouth of lions, and the dragon gave him his

power and his throne and great authority.

3. And they worshipped the dragon, since it gave authority to that demon

and who could do battle with him?

5. And he was given a mouth to utter abominations* and blasphemies,

and he was given authority to do so forty two months.*

6. And he said to me, "These manifestations are faithful and true."*

And Maryah Allaha of the spirit of the saints sent me his angel to show his

servants* these [things] that are destined to occur soon.

And he opened his mouth to blaspheme against Allaha, to blaspheme

against His name and His Abode, and [against] those who dwell in heaven.

7. And he was given authority over all generations and nations and tongues

and peoples* and he was given [authority] to do battle with the saints and

to defeat* them,

8. And they wor shipped him, all of them who dwelled on earth, those

whose name is not written in the book of Life, of the Lamb who was sacrificed* from the foundations of the universe.sacrificed* from the foundations of the universe.

9. If a human [being] has ears, [then] listen. 10. If a human [being] takes captives,

10. 10. And he said to me, "Do not close the manifestations of the prophecy of this

book for that age* is soon approaching*.

Do not close little book with the interpretation of Revelation , why? that age is

now

11. And I saw another demon* that rose from the earth, and he had two horns orns resembling those of a ram, and he spoke as a dragon.resembling those of a ram, and he spoke as a dragon.

12. And all the powers* of that first demon he performed before them, and he

made the world* and those who dwell in it so that they would worship that first

demon, the one who became healed from und er its own death.*

13. And he performed grandiose* signs, whereas even fire fell* from the sky over

the earth before humanity;

14. And he misleads* those who dwell on earth to be the slaves of the image of

that demon, the one who had been struck by the swo rd and had lived.

15. And it was given to him to impart a spirit to the image* of that demon, and to

command* that all those who* do not worship the image of that demon to be killed.

16. And he enslaved them all, the small and the famous* and the rich and the

poor and the children of the free and the slaves, whereas to be given a mark* on

their right hands or between their eyes*,

17. So that no one* could sell or buy, except he who has the mark of that demon

or the number of his name.

18. Here there is wisd om, whoever has a mind* should count the number of that

demon , for it is the number of a human being. And his number is six hundred

and sixty six.

13:1	내가 바닷가 모래 위에 서서 보니, 한 짐승이 바다에서 올라오는데, 일곱 머리와 열 뿔을 가졌더라. 그 뿔들에는 열 개의 왕관이 있고 그 머리들에는 하나님을 모독하는 이름이 있더라.	And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
13:2	또 내가 본 그 짐승은 표범과 같고, 발은 곰의 발 같고, 입은 사자의 입 같은데, 용이 자기의 능력과 자리와 큰 권세를 그 짐승에게 주더라.	And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
13:3	또 내가 보니, 그의 머리들 가운데 하나가 상처를 입어 죽게 된 것 같았으나, 그의 치명적인 상처가 나으니 온 세상이 기이히 여겨 그 짐승을 따르더라.	And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
13:4	사람들이 그 짐승에게 권세를 준 용에게 경배하고 또 그 짐승에게도 경배하며 말하기를 “누가 그 짐승과 같으며 누가 감히 그와 더불어 싸울 수 있으리요?”라고 하더라.	And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
13:5	그 짐승이 큰 일들과 모독하는 말들을 하는 입을 받았으며 또 마흔두 달 동안 활동할 권세를 받았더라.	And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
13:6	그 짐승이 입을 벌려 하나님을 대적하여 모독하되 그의 이름과 그의 성막과 하늘에 거하는 자들을 모독하더라.	And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
13:7	그가 성도들과 싸워 그들을 이기는 권세를 받았으며 모든 족속과 언어와 민족을 다스리는 권세를 받았더라.	And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
13:8	세상의 기초가 놓인 이래로 죽임당한 어린양의 생명의 책에 그들의 이름이 기록되지 못하고 땅에 사는 모든 자는 그에게 경배할 것이라.	And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
13:9	누구든지 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다.	If any man have an ear, let him hear.
13:10	포로로 삼는 자는 그도 포로가 될 것이요, 칼로 죽이는 자는 그도 칼에 죽게 될 것이라. 여기에 성도들의 인내와 믿음이 있느니라.	He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
13:11	또 내가 보니, 다른 짐승이 땅에서 올라오는데 어린양처럼 두 뿔을 가졌으며 용과 같이 말하더라.	And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
13:12	그가 자기 앞에 있던 첫째 짐승의 모든 권세를 행사하고 또 땅과 거기에 사는 자들로 하여금 치명적인 상처를 치유받은 그 첫째 짐승에게 경배하게 하더라.	And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13:13	또 큰 이적들을 행하는데 심지어는 사람들 앞에서 불을 하늘에서 땅 위로 내려오게 하더라.	And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
13:14	그가 짐승 앞에서 행할 권세를 받아 그 같은 기적들을 통하여 땅에 거하는 자들을 미혹하며, 또 땅에 거하는 자들에게 말하기를 칼로 상처를 입었다가 살아난 그 짐승을 위하여 형상을 만들어야 한다고 하더라.	And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
13:15	또 그가 짐승의 형상에게 생명을 주는 권세를 받아 그 짐승의 형상으로 말도 하게 하고, 그 짐승의 형상에게 경배하지 아니하는 자는 다 죽이도록 하니라.	And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
13:16	그가 모든 자, 즉 작은 자나 큰 자, 부자나 가난한 자, 자유자나 종이나 그들의 오른손이나 이마에 표를 받게 하고	And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
13:17	그 표나 그 짐승의 이름이나 그의 이름의 숫자를 지닌 사람을 제외하고는 아무도 사거나 팔 수 없게 하더라.	And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18	지혜가 여기에 있으니 지각이 있는 자는 그 짐승의 숫자를 헤아려 보라. 그것은 한 사람의 숫자이니, 그의 숫자는 육백육십육이니라.	Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
