Revelation chapter 16

1. And I h eard a great voice telling those seven angels, go and spill those seven

chalices of the ferment* of Allaha on the earth.

2. And the first one went and tossed his chalice on the earth, and a wicked

pestilence and boils afflicted humanity, those who poss essed the mark of that

demon and those who worship his image.

so called “prayer of Nabonidus ” (4QOrNab). the text recounts that

when Nabonidus suffered from boils for seven years while in teman (the southern

lands)

3. And the second angel spilled his chalice over the sea, and it became like the

blood of the dead, and every living breath died for those who lived at sea.

4. And the third angel spilled his chalice in the rivers and water springs

and [they turned] into

5. And I heard the angel of the waters declare,

"Holy are

He who Is,

He who [always] Was,

...and

For you have judged them*.

6. "For the blood of the saints

...and the prophets they

And the blood*

...that you gave them to

They do deserve it."

7. And I heard the altar cry out,

"Yes, indeed, Maryah

...who is the One and Only for

True and holy are your judgmentsTrue and holy are your judgments."."

8. And the fourth one spilled his chalice over the sun, and he was given to scorch humanity with the fire.scorch humanity with the fire.

9. And those people were scorched in the great heat, and people blasphemed

against the name of Allaha, who has authority over these plagues, and they did

not repent so as to give him glory.

10. And the fifth one spilled his chalice on the throne of that demon and made

his kingdom dark, and they chewed their tongues because of the soreness.

11. And they blasphemed against th

e Allaha of heaven because of their sores

and their pestilence and they did not repent of their works.

12. And the sixth one spilled his chalice on the great river Euphrates, and its

waters dried up, so that the way was laid out for those kings from th e rising

sun.*

13. And I saw [emerging] from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of

that demon and from the mouth of the false prophet, thr ee filthy spirits like frogs.

14. For they are the signs of the demon of oblivion, those that go to all the kings

of the world to gather them for battle of that great day of Allaha, who is the One

and Only for all.

15. "And, behold, I am coming li ke a thief!

Blessed is the one that observes

...and guards one's

So as not to flee* naked

...and be seen in one's

16. And they gathered to that place, which is called in Hebrew, Armageddon*.

17. And the s

eventh one spilled his chalice on the air, and a great voice emerged

from the temple that declared, "Here it comes!"*

18. And there was lightening and thunder and sounds, and [there was] a great

earthquake, like there never was since there were human beings on earth, so

great an earthquake there occu rred.

19. And that great city was split for the three of them,* and the cities of the nations fell, and Babylon the Great was remembered before Allaha, as it was given the cup of wine of that ferment of Allaha's anger.given the cup of wine of that ferment of Allaha's anger.

20. And every island ran away and there were no mountains to be found.

21. And a great hail, [heavy] like talents, [fell] from the sky over humanity, and

those people blasphemed against Allaha because of the punishment* of that

hail*, for great was its striking power indeed.*

※ Dead men, not potsherds. Covered the approaches. The walls were gaping, the high gates,

the roads, were piled with dead. In the side streets,

where feasting crows would gather, scattered they lay. In all the side

streets and roadways bodies lay. In the open fields that used to fill with

dancers, they lay in heaps. The country's blood now filled its holes, like

metal in a mould; Bodies dissolved like fat left in the sun.

요한묵시록 16장

1. 그리고 나는 저 일곱 천사들에게 가서 알라하의 발효물 일곱 가지 갈기를 땅에 쏟으라는 큰 목소리를 들었다.

2. 그리고 첫 번째 사람은 가서 그의 갈리케를 땅에 던졌고, 악인은

고통받는 인류, 그 흔적을 가진 자들.

3. 그리고 두 번째 천사가 찰기를 바다에 쏟으니, 죽은 사람의 피처럼 되고, 살아 있는 모든 숨결들은 바다에 사는 사람들을 위해 죽었다.

4. 그리고 셋째 천사는 강물과 샘에 찰리를 쏟았다.

그리고 (그들은) 로 변했다.

5. 그리고 물의 천사가 선언하는 소리를 들었다.

"홀리는

지금 있는 사람은

항상 그랬던 사람은

...그리고

네가 그들을 판단했으니까.

6. "성인의 피를 위하여

...그리고 예언자들은

그리고 피*

...당신이 그들에게 준 것

그들은 그럴 자격이 있다."

7. 그리고 제단이 울부짖는 소리를 들었다.

"그래, 정말 메리야.

...누구만을 위한 것인가?

진실하고 거룩한 판단은 너의 판단이다.참되고 거룩한 것이 그대의 판단이다."

8. 그리고 네 번째 것은 태양에 성배를 쏟았고, 그는 불로 인간을 불태웠다.

9. 그리고 그 사람들은 엄청난 더위에 불타서 사람들은 모독했다.

이 재앙에 대한 권위를 가지고 있는 알라하의 이름에 반하여, 그들은 그렇게 하였다.

그에게 영광을 돌리기 위해 회개하지 않다

10. 그리고 다섯째는 그 마귀의 왕좌에 성배를 엎질러 놓고는 그 말을 하게 했다.

그의 왕국은 어둡고, 그들은 아픈 것 때문에 혀를 깨물었다.

11. 그리고 하늘의 알라하를 모독하는 것은, 그들의 병폐 때문이며, 그들의 일을 뉘우치지 않았기 때문이다.

12. 여섯째는 유프라테스 강 위에 갈리스를 쏟았다. 유프라테스 강물이 말라서, 떠오르는 태양으로부터 그 왕들을 위하여 길이 마련되었다.*

13. 그리고 용의 입과 악마의 입과 거짓 예언자의 입에서 개구리와 같은 더러운 영혼들이 나오는 것을 보았다.

14. 망각의 마귀, 모든 왕에게 가는 자들의 흔적이다.

그 위대한 날 알라하의 전투를 위해 그들을 모을 세상의 모든 사람들, 곧

그리고 오직 모두를 위해서.

15. "그리고 보라, 나는 도둑놈을 잡으러 간다!

관찰하는 자는 복이 있다.

...그리고 보호하다.

도망가지 않도록* 벌거벗은 채로

...의 눈에 띄다.

16. 그리고 그들은 그곳으로 모였는데, 히브리어로 아마겟돈*이라고 부른다.

17. 그리고 일곱째가 성배(접시)를 공중으로 흘리면서 굉장한 목소리가 나타났다.

"여기에 온다!"

18. 그리고 번갯불과 천둥소리와 소리가 났고, [거기에] 굉장한 소리가 났다.

지진은, 지구상에 인간이 존재한 이후 없었던 것처럼, 아주 큰 지진이 일어났다.

19. 그리고 그 위대한 도시는 그들 셋을 위해 갈라졌다.* 그리고 나라들의 도시들이 무너졌다. 그리고 위대한 바빌론은 알라하 앞에 기억되었다. 알라하의 분노의 발효 와인 잔을 받은 것이다.

20. 그리고 모든 섬이 도망쳤고 찾을 산은 없었다.

21. 그리고 동전과 같은 커다란 우박, 그 사람들이 알라하에게 모욕을 가한 것은 그 징벌* 때문이다. 그것은 실로 대단한 힘이었기 때문이다.*

사방에 도로와 도로의 시체가 놓여 있었다. 춤꾼들로 가득 차 있던 탁 트인 들판에 그들은 무더기로 누워 있었다.

그 나라의 피가 구멍을 메우고 틀에 녹아드는 금속처럼,

시체들은 햇빛에 남겨진 지방처럼 녹았다.
